The lastest version of Tessy was released. Tessy is the tool to automate unit / module / integration testing of embedded software. The main difference to the previous version is the added support for Code Composer Studio 4 (CCS 4). Also some minor problems were fixed.

A new tutorial about the handling of floating point values in Tessy was released on the Hitex web site.
This tutorial describes how Tessy can handle floating point values, e.g. how deviations from the expected result can be accepted and how graphics can be displayed. A lot of other topics are also mentioned:

( b ) Tessy attributes and environments

New in the Tessy Support Area from Hitex is a paper called “Rules for Testing With Tessy and CTE”. This This paper tries to give some advice on how to make use of Tessy and CTE, e.g. how to name test cases reasonably or how to structure classification trees. Such rules are useful if you want to ensure that a greater group of testers use a uniform testing style.

Since some time, Tessy V2.9 is available for productive use. The current version is V2.9.19. It is available for download from the here.
The latest version of Tessy V2.6 is Tessy V2.6.30

Tessy V2.6.29 is available for download from the Tessy main page. This version is also available on evaluation & product CD-ROMs.
The new version is also available in the support area of Tessy .
It is supposed that this will be the last (well, maybe next to last) version of Tessy V2.6.

A new tutorial on RiskCAT, called “Arbeiten mit RiskCAT”, is available for download from the RiskCAT main page. This tutorial describes working with RiskCAT, taking IEC 61508 as the underlying standard. Unfortunately, this tutorial is currently only available in German.

RiskCAT is a tool that supports the usage of standards, e.g. IEC 61508. Now RiskCAT for ISO 26262 is available. ISO 26262 is a derivation of IEC 61508 for automotive applications.

On a regular base, Hitex organizes the Tessy User Day, where users of Tessy meet to learn about features of upcoming versions of Tessy, share tips and tricks on Tessy usage, and provide input about required features in new Tessy versions. At the next Tessy User Day on October 1st, Michael Wittner will participate. Michael is CEO of Razorcat, the manufacturer of Tessy. Hence, Michael is the right person to talk to, if you need a special feature implemented in Tessy!
Participation is free-of-charge for Tessy users with maintenance contract.

Sometimes, a company which uses Tessy and is pleased with Tessy provides a report about the usage of Tessy. Such a user report is also called a testimonial. Recently, a new testimonial from BMW was added to the lists of user reports for Tessy.
